Im sure the henry signing is one for the future rather than an immediate replacement. Which sort of rankles really as from the few displays ive seen, Burke looks class and deserves a run.

The valencia midfielder had a press release regarding the transfer link, and didn't sound keen on joining us at all.
I'd guess we are happy with Collins Reid and Tomkins for the remainder of the season and Henry will be a squad player as cover.
I'd agree with a midfielder who can pass and create chances. We have the battlers here with Song, Kouyate, Noble and Poyet as cover. If Downing is out, I'm not so confident wth Zarate and Nolan.
Allardyce also mentioned some players will have to leave. I know they've already told a few they are free to go, and they're not too keen on leaving. So it would depend on a few players who want first team football. Vaz Te, Jarvis, Morrison and Zarate I would guess would be most likely.

Egg... far enough, as said he would be a great squad player but I can't see him being an automatic starter so not surprised if he has his doubts about moving... realistically he's not going to shift Song from the side.

This Henry lad was highly recommended to Allardyce by Ryan Nelson, who managed him at Toronto, and we had him over for training a little while ago and Allardyce obviously thinks he's got it.

It would be a shame to see Zarate go... he has scored a few and always tried to be positive when given the chance.... would be stupid to let him go in Jan with Sakho off... we will need players like Zarate in the squad when we are competing on all fronts next season.
Would be good to get Vaz Te and Jarvis off the books (and Nolan... looks skyward with a pleading, okay, begging look)

Surely Burnley or Leicester or West Brom must see that Kevin Nolan is exactly what they need to give themselves a chance of staying up..... we can even pay half his wages and it be worth it.

Vaz, Nolan and Jarvis could all do good jobs for teams toward the foot of the Prem. None is good enough for top six clubs. Like us.

Nolan really pissed me off on Sat. Poor Song worked his balls of sometimes sorrounded by 3-4 Leicester players and where was Nolan???
As we are going to loose him in Jan we need a replacement.

This is turning into another bashing Nolan thread. Even if we got an offer from any other of the shit mentioned, I think it would be an insult to him to farm it out to that shit halfway through a season when he is club captain. In short, it won't happen.

Nolan must stay. For me he still has the best instinct for a goal in the penalty area. Easily the best poacher we have in the box.
Top bloke as well and proper West Ham. Will be singing his name on Friday at Chelsea and thank god won't here none of the boo-boys because they will all be sat at home on their computers.

Centre half who has the same influence Bilic did when he joined a leader type who puts in the kind of performances that sets the stall out for the rest of the team, so when a dodgy form period arrives he's there to push us on through.
